I see it; I feel it but, how can that be? I lived in New Orleans in 1984. Alan's describing that season is 'beyond category'--there are passages in this piece that remind me of the gift Pat Conroy had--Alan is right there with Pat ( who was a friend of mine)----this 'recounting' is more than just that--it is life redux--it is wonderfully described. I feel like I was here in Columbia for every game--thank you , Alan.
